A bit more about me...

Beneath distress and patterns of survival lie stories of adaptation and resilience

My work is grounded in a deep respect for the complexity of the human experience. I believe that beneath distress, patterns and ways of coping lie stories of adaptation and resilience, each one deserving to be met with care, curiosity and compassion.

Relational & Responsive
I work in a relational and responsive way. Therapy becomes a shared space where we can begin to make sense of your experience together. This may include reflecting on patterns in your life, exploring what sits just beneath awareness, or gently noticing how your thoughts, emotions and body are connected. Rather than focusing on fixing, we begin with understanding. From there, change can emerge in a way that feels more grounded and sustainable.

Mind - Body Approach
My work integrates relational and body-based perspectives supporting change not only in how you think, but in how you feel and experience yourself.

At times, this might include:
  • bringing awareness to the body and nervous system
  • exploring different parts of yourself with curiosity and compassion
  • understanding how past experiences continue to shape the present

Integrative approach
I draw on approaches such as Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.  These frameworks inform my work, but do not define it, I am guided by what feels most helpful for you.

Core values
At the heart of my practice are the values of empathy, authenticity and acceptance. I aim to offer a space where you can feel met without judgement and supported in making sense of your experience in your own way.

Membership and ethics
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling and have experience working across private practice, mental health services, the charity sector and higher education.

I engage in ongoing supervision and professional development to ensure my work remains thoughtful, ethical and responsive to current understanding.

Creating space
Relational and reflective practice informs my work through a grounded, creative and attuned presence. Whether we are exploring early attachment patterns, working with somatic memory, or navigating present-day challenges, I aim to create a space that feels both containing and alive, where deeper self-understanding can emerge and new possibilities can begin to take shape.
My work is grounded in a deep respect for the complexity of the human experience
